Hello families and friends,
Today we had baby visits from our Roots of Empathy babies in Mr. Soulliere and Ms. Klein's classes. The topic for today's visits was emotions. In the morning we continued work on our literacy skills and worked in our math groups. Ask your child what they did today. Our afternoon started off with our word work groups, and then we continued our fitness centres in gym with Mr. McDougall. At the end of the day we continued working on our writing with our grade 3/4 buddies.
A reminder that next week is a short week and a LONG weekend; the students have no school on Thursday or Friday for Teachers' Convention, and the following Monday, the 15th, is Family Day.
Next week we have our artist in residence, Jenny Dale, coming in to work with us on our Tanga art project.
Scholastic Book Orders for Ms. McEvoy's class are due back next Wednesday, February 10th.
The next Fun Lunch is Wednesday, February 17th.

With the students be exchanging valentines in school next week? If so, will you be providing class list to assist the kids in addressing the valentines?
ReplyDeleteWe will be exchanging on Wednesday, we are unable to provide a class list however; we are asking that the students just make out generic cards or write out the names themselves if they would like them to be addressed personally.
DeleteAre you able to tell us the number of students in each class so that they can bring the appropriate number of valentines?
